Welcome to Churchlands Senior High School.
Churchlands is an outstanding, co-educational government school catering for students from years eight to twelve. Since its foundation in 1962 the school has established a tradition of excellence built on the outstanding academic, cultural and sporting achievements of our students.
Churchlands’ western suburbs location is ten minutes from the city centre and is easily accessed by students using public transport and special school buses that service the northern and western suburbs. Proximity to the stunning Western Australian coastline and Herdsman Lake further enriches the life of the school. The school’s extensive grounds, bright, modern architecture and state of the art facilities combine to create a highly desirable educational setting.
Our teaching staff are committed, dedicated and among the most qualified in the state. On our staff we have published writers, performance artists, theatre directors, academic researchers and athletes who have represented Australia. Our teachers provide educational leadership through their participation in professional associations and statewide syllabus committees. They are sought after to share their expertise and to deliver professional development to teachers at the state and national level.
Many of our students aspire to university entrance and professional occupations. In pursuing their goals students share the same learning journey taken by Churchlands’ Beazley medallists, Rhodes Scholars, Subject and General Exhibition prize-winners. Many of our students go on to become leaders in their chosen field and in the community.
Churchlands offers a learning culture that promotes the achievement of excellence, sound values and the attributes of citizenship in an ordered and disciplined environment. Students are encouraged to Aim High as they prepare to meet the challenges of adulthood in a rapidly changing world.
