The Music Parents Committee (MPC) extends a warm welcome to all parents of students in the music program. We are confident that like us, you will find your child has accepted the chance to be involved in a very exciting and challenging high school education. As parents we have the opportunity to watch our children participate in fantastic experiences and be part of a talented and committed group of students. Music parents work together to support the teachers and the program, and in so doing get to know each other and the staff, and participate in a rewarding partnership.
Music Parents are involved in the program in many ways. A committee of office bearers and coordinators is formed each year to oversee the various tasks that parents perform for the School of Music. There is a Music Parents meeting on the third Monday of the month in term time at 7.30pm in the Alan Bishop Choral Studio. Everyone is welcome at these meetings. All activities are voluntary and any help is appreciated.
