Matthew Class of 2016, was originally a promising gymnast, and after an injury took up track cycling, going on to achieve national and international success. He won bronze at the 2020 Track Cycling World Championships and represented Australia in the Tokyo Olympics in the team sprint event. At the 2022 Commonwealth Games Matthew became the first West Australian to win individual cycling gold in addition to winning gold in the team sprint.
