Languages
The study of a language is compulsory at Churchlands Senior High School from Year 7 to Year 9. Students are given the opportunity to study French or Japanese and choose which language they will study at the beginning of Year 7. At the end of Year 9, students are given the choice to pursue their study of a language in Year 10 and are encouraged to continue into Senior School.
Students benefit from a range of enriching experiences both inside and outside of the classroom as they engage in interactive activities, incursions and excursions. There is also the opportunity to participate in school exchange programs where they can experience total immersion in the target language and culture. Our teaching and learning programs inspire our students to aim high and achieve their full potential in communicating in the target language.
