Health & Physical Education

The Churchlands SHS Health and Physical Education department is dedicated to the delivery of a program which provides students with opportunities to participate and excel in physical activities in an enjoyable, caring environment.

The department develops physical skills to an appropriate level for each student and offers opportunities to compete in house and inter school sporting competitions.

Our aim is to educate students to develop positive attitudes towards physical activity and to equip them to make healthy lifestyle choices. The Health and PE program also focuses on giving students the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

The ultimate success indicator is when students continue to participate in sporting and recreational activities with responsible lifestyle choices in their post school years.

The PE Department also offers both Health and PE Studies courses in Year 11 and 12 for those students who have a special interest in physical activities. These include ATAR, General and Certificate Courses.
